Running Applications
The Launcher is used to launch/start/open files, folders, and programs on your Macintosh. The Launcher has several Categories Click one time on a Category to see the items included in that category Click one time on the Icon of the item you wish to use/launch
Applications: Word Processing Word Processing (one of the most usual applications) is accomplished by using AppleWorks or MicrosoftWorks/Word Click one time on the Category named Applications in the Launcher, then on AppleWorks and open a New Word Processing document Any document that you create should be SAVED (File menu / SAVE) before printing (File menu / Print). If the computer freezes or crashes while printing the work will be lost if not saved. Other Applications Simple Text is a handy basic word processor. Apple Script Editor is something for advanced Mac users.
For safety, it is recommended to copy your saved files (documents) to another medium like CDs, external drives occasionally
